PURSUIT FOR PERFECTION- THE INSUBSTANTIAL SPHERE

Am still here trying to bail me… In this realm, exacting idealism from a girl.

She was trying to clean the utensils and her mom pointed out kindly the left-over detergent on it. The girl did not like it for she wanted to be perfect at what she was doing. She walked to her neighbor's house that evening. The aunt was too glad for her son who had returned home from a holiday. she told the girl that her son had learned to cook and wash the utensils all by himself and he had helped her that evening. The girl stared at those plates. They caught her attention. Those soap marks on the plate. Am not ascribing this to the society that demands more idealism from a woman. Am bringing into consciousness that we are chasing this perfectness ourselves.

How many girls out there did not learn driving because of the fear of being bullied that women don't drive safe or they lack the techniques to drive.
How many stopped trying for a job in those zones that are still prevailing for men because you fear being underestimated and laughed at.

Hey, wait... I feared engineering for I had difficulty remembering the brands of bikes and cars and how people compared their performance. Honestly even after graduating this is still vague for me. Should I stop it? - I questioned myself. Should we always try something that we have mastered? What are we seeking for?  A platform to learn, experiment and rejoice or to exhibit only the pieces of mastery. Then I answered my inner self it's ok if people mock! I wasn't even gifted with remote cars or a toy bike to play with as a kid. It's still ok not to know everything about what you dream to do. There is this beautiful phase of learning. Just begin!

This fear of being not perfect has fettered our feet from experimenting and having fun. It is no more cool to blame the others for pouring this fear into you. That fear of being flawless.

Hey girls! That strict tomboy's and cute nerds !!Let us step out, for being imperfect is audacious!!!

Let's Dance to the symphony playing in our heart- yeah you are right! Imperfectly!!!
